Hello DP members... I'm hosted at GalaxyVisions, and my site is loading really really slow on the last 5 days... I thought the problem was my RAM, because I'm using about 95% of the avaible ram on my old Dedicated....so I bought a new one, with 2GB RAM (my old was 1GB only)... But it's not the problem...because the site, just to START to load, delays more than 10 secs on peak hours... Them I thought "Well...the problem is my MBps Uplink...". I tought I had only 10MBps uplink....but my host said I have 100MBps...and damn! 100MBps is REALLY a lot... So, if I have 100Mbps port, I'm using less than 50% of my avaible RAM, less than 10% of my avaible CPU, why the hell my site is having more than 10 seconds of delay, on peak hours, to START to load the site? My site don't use too much bandwidth (less than 40GB/daily), but in peak hours a lot of people connect on the same time, and my site is an Arcade Website, so a lot of people loading big flash files... I need a 1GB Uplink? Or my actual hosting is crap?
Its difficult to tell you exactly whats going on your server. Could be: - An issue with Apache or Mysql - A DNS problem. Did you set a reverse ? - A hardware issue (A disk failure or the ethernet nego that should be forced to 100mp FD) Regards Thibaut
