whats the point of rss feeds if they dont give you full article?

    what is the point of rss feeds if they redirect the user to another site..isnt the point of rss feeds to get users to stay on your site...is there a way to get the full article? i am looking for a sports rss feed for news

    You'll find sports news from sources like All Headline News, AP, AFP, Sports Network. Be prepared to pay for it.

    You can ask any coder to write a program that can grab data from rss and show that on your site :)

    It depends what perspective you look at it from.

    If you're a webmaster creating news then you want to have an RSS feed so people can add your RSS feed to their news aggregator so they're alerted everytime you write a new post - the user doesn't always want to type in the address of the 20+ news sites they read - aggregators bring it all to one place.

    Then there's also site's that want to give their users some fresh, useful content without having to write news themselves. So what that webmaster does is install an rss aggregator. The user would rather come back to this website to get all the news in one place, just like the first approach I described above.
