Whats the point of PR

I have 1 site pr3 and it as only ever bought me about 10 visitors from google in the past month in fact ever since I made it lol so whats the point of PR??

google says ignore it, iuts basically an authority symbol....but if u want visitors just focus on SERP....if u do things right PR will come....

 

The point is that it shows you're doing at least something right... you've got some backlinks, but what you do with that is the next step.

I guess you're talking about the wallpaper site in your sig because that one is pr3, and I'd say it just doesn't have enough good text on it for a start.

 

PR is a status thingy basically. Also an indicator from Google your sites status compared to other sites. This could actually be a selling point for your site.

 

I figured that I dont have that much text Its hard to add text to all my pages although I have an idea for it.

 

PR just a part of googlr algo. That's give some indication about you site. But not related traffic.

 

PR Can be very important. It doesn’t relate to actual visitors to your site, it’s more of a popularity thing with other site and such. I have one site that has a PR3 and another that has PR2. It just shows where your site ranks with other sites. But definitely keep it up, as PR can be very valuable.

If you have a higher pr people will see that your site is successful

 

PR has very little to do with the SERP's, so don't worry about what the "little green bar" says.

If you will have a High PR then visitor will think that this site is liked to good sites and it's must have lots of other good features , So PR is just a matter of Repute for your site !

99.9% of the net population dont care about PR, but to the 0.1%, it matters a lot : ))

 

Its a kind of authority on the net pr8-10 being the best sites with almost authority on the net and shows lot of hard work done on those sites. pr3-4 are the starters. So carry on this process

 

You have PR3 it means you are following big G rules, no next task to increase your SERP, PR never says, i will bring traffic to you. It's just says, you have some authority.

PR can give your website fast index, rest depend on your content quality, your backlinks strategy, SEO optimization. Forget PR, now time to work for traffic.

Means you can easily create relation in the industry with fellow webmasters. By saying I have a PR 7 link wanna Back link ?

You can sell links. You can trade links you can exchange PR for traffic etc.

Many WEbmasters in digital point forum only income and target is this PR


Indian SEO companies Build 100s of directories(local directory niche directory) from different ip range promote it and wait for PR update.

Then sell Links or Flip the site.

IT is said a PR4 directory can sell upto $2000 in sitepoint marketplace.

It is a way google makes webmasters to earn money and build relation with other webmasters. By saying My website ranks High in google with High PR. Whats your PR? Fellow webmaster says.. Can you please give me a backlink. I have visitors but no PR.


So in short PR is a business. Selling PR links and PR sites is the main business of INDIAN webmasters. Who cannot spend money on adwords. Or cannot bring much visitors from Search engines with seo.
