referral links? I saw lots of times people post them in posts and some get banned/deleted, some not, so I'm just wondering..
No set rules. If the post/thread is blatantly spam then it normally goes. If the link is identified as aff link, it often stays. There's also an element of self-moderation involved IMO. If people consistently drop aff links, members will know and think bad of the person / rep them red. Did a certain shopping aff scheme inspire you?
Someone keeps track of porn links? Might post them here? If so, a suggestion.... Free only, no popups, nice looking women.... Not that I would click on them...wife running around here, grandkids pop in and out....so have to keep computer porn free.
yeah, i actually wanted to spam the hell out of DP with my new adultfriendfinder aff link so just wanted to see how fast I can be banned or red repped for this Honestly though, I saw couple respected members (that I will not give their usernames of course) drop their aff links with a clear intention to get as many referrals as possible, so I wanted to see if it's ok and yes, some of them do it consistently. Not that I'm too much of a WH either, but how can I spam my favourite forum (guess which one lol) So, tops, what you're saying is that if a person puts his aff link and says it's an aff link, it's ok, but if he doesn't mention that, well that mostly depends on the mod's mood..? lol
I think you should go a buy something to keep you occupied. Searching ClickBank is a good idea Not an affiliate link.
MG spamming the forums with aff links is probably not a good idea ... placing them in your sig may be better. I"M NOT SAYING YOU WILL SPAM ... DP members who spam the forums will get appropriate rep ..self governance always prevails ... NOW about those adult friendly links ....
Actually it's not allowed (affiliate links): http://forums.digitalpoint.com/faq.php?faq=dp_faq#faq_policies You can put affiliate links in your signature, but not in posts (people have been banned for it before).
http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=46361&highlight=azoogleads You asked. I don't see the problem with a thread like the above one. It helped me a lot and I'm not trying to bring out Shoe or anything. But then again, you asked. There has to be a moderation. Sometimes it is spam, and other times it is somebody legitimately helping, and making a few bucks while doing that. That's just business, and I'm as guilty as anyone else.
I don't mean shoe, of course, he's a great fellow, but there're plenty of posts with affiliate links.. anyways no names here. that's just a general question. And no, I'm not going to spam DP with porn affiliate links not yet haha - don't quote it lol
i remember one thread where a new user with one post came on gave his referral link for adsensedetective, claiming that we should use his referral link since he's the FIRST to introduce it. i can't find that thread though...
Pretty much what I've been, yeah. But like Shawn pointed out, in fact it is against the rule (whoops). Sometimes I just remove the aff part of the link as well, if I think people might find the link interesting. Just stay nice and don't do it all the time. Genuine referrals from respected forum buddies are a good thing in principle, it can spare use time researching if we just follow such recommendations. If the referrer then gets a small commission, fine with me.
