Microsoft Word 2010 has much to recommend it - if you're a Word power user. Speaking personally, I find Word 2010 a huge step up from Word 2007 and miles ahead of Word 2003, but I write professionally on an almost daily basis, and I need to format my work for a number of different venues, from web publishing systems to conventional physical printers. If your workload doesn't include similar demands of your word processor, odds are you don't need to shell out for Word 2010.
I also wanna say that Microsoft Word 2010 is quite better than before. But I have faced some problem with that while printing. I think there is printing problem with this new word. But it is really cool and needy one.
It is indeed Microsoft Word 2010 and it's a great feature. I thought 2007 was good until I used 2010, and now I've completed changed my mind... I love it!
I currently use 2007 and after reading this thread, I am going to investigate how much it costs to upgrade to Word 2010. Has anyone tested the compatibility of 2010 with Open Office?
Word 2011 is the Mac version only. Word 2010 is for Windows, and I agree that it is for the most part an improvement. There's still a number of things that are done poorly, but overall, a solid product.
I really found MS Word 2010 to be awesome. You can save documents as pdf directly, tables and effects are much better, the interface quite neat and lot of more functions that help in composing
The Microsoft has given a new look to MS word which is possible in MS word 2010 and you can find office 2010 for free it is very good one.
I think that there's MS 2011 that I've tried or a similar beta version, but yeah like everyone says 2010 is a safe bet for you!
I also use the MS word 2010 and i am finding for the time to install the next beta version in my computer..!
Microsoft office 2011 is going to available in the market soon. It will be latest product of MS. But MS 2010 is still popular in the market.
