What's the most you've spent on a domain?

Generally I buy my domains from GoDaddy for around $8 a year.

Sometimes I'll buy a domain on expired auction for $18.95

But last month I paid $193 for an expired domain...

and just now I paid $176 for a domain.

I think the price was worth it because of the traffic the names receive.

What's the most you've paid for a domain?

 

Now I feel embarrassed, the most I've paid for a domain name was $30.

 

Oh, don't be embarrassed... it is yet to be seen if the investment will pay off.

 

I paid $150 for a domain once, and im yet to use it :s

 

the most I have spent is $700 on a single domain.

 

Oh dear... I must be more embarrassed then.. $8 for one. I only have 5 domains at the moment.

Do they earn anything? I park some on Sedo....and I get around 100 visitors in total per month, and nil revenue....

I believe just to earn a bit needs about 10,000 visitors per month, so your domain better be hot...and of course the price goes waaaaaaay up from $8

And its no use to blame the parking provider because only lots (and lots) of visitors can earn anything substantial.....

 

$100 is the most i have paid for a domain name.

 

$70, back when Network Solutions was the only game in town. I've never purchased a domain from a private seller, but I've been tempted a time or two.

 

$8 is the highest Ive ever paid and that was for my first domain that I never used

 

$250 is the highest I've paid!

I paid once $400, another time $270 and once $220

i dont bother with registered domains
all i can afford is about $1 - $8 for available domain names
