    Every backlink checker site I go to seems to have different results. Whats the best and most accurate way to check your sites backlinks? One that shows the linked sites pageranks would be awesome too!

    The most accurate is Google Webmasters account, but that's only for your own sites. For other sites, you're left with 3rd-party services, each of which uses a different way to collect the data. So, while you can compare sites using data from a single service, you cannot compare data across services. Two of the best ones are MajesticSEO.com and OpenSiteExplorer.org.

    Every search engine have their own criteria of approving backlinks. For this, number of backlinks varies. You should use SeoQuake for checking backlinks.

    I would say Google webmaster to check. To get backlinks, you do off page optimization.

    Miroslav, thank you for those resources! I didn't know about either one of them. They also both have a lot of other cool tools to use for seo. I found myself playing around on Majestic SEO forever instead of getting more work done!
