Out of curiosity, I'd like to know what the maximum weight is you've thrown at a single site. Here's why.. Some folk have mentioned that too many BL's virtually overnight can lead to a major drop in the SERPS or complete removal from Google. I find it difficult to believe that 'too many' links would lead to a penalty of this sort, because simply, the major advertising/distribution networks wouldn't have clients if it did - that's my logic anyhow. The max I've personally thrown at a site is around 80K for a month. Am I wrong in this ? Have ppl been limiting the amount of weight they've thrown at a site ? I'd suspect that ppl have thrown great gobs of weight at sites they wanted to push, but then ppl with big weight might be running dozens of ads too. How about you ? Cheers, JL
185k - 1 key-phrase I'm no. 1 on yahoo and mSN for it, but I guess I got sandboxed in Google for it. :\ Still brings in 2-4k uniques a day from Yahoo and MSN.... so i'm happy... I currently only have 80k pointing at it and i'm still no. 1.
Almost 750,000 for 7 different keywords with equal subweight You can try it too - and rent my weight. Szy.
How did it go ? Did you notice any negative effects on G ? (I'm presuming all 7 were for the same site). And, more importantly, what did 750,000 do for you interms of discreet BL's (roughly how many)? Sandboxing isn't as bad as removal, but it's interesting that you were using just the one term (ad). I wonder if anyone else has noticed simillar effects with single keyphrase across high/fast distribution ? With what szy says above, he'd have around 106K, but 7 instances of it - so that may be a factor as well. It would be nice to establish a 'best practice' perspective in this regard - if in fact it's necessary ---------------- I hope this is the right place for this thread BTW - if not, pls move ---------------- Cheers, JL
The really imported thing I have noticed was going down in Polish SERPs (they were Polish sites), perhaps because of really big number of BL from non-Polish sites. Sandbox - I wasn't afraid, all these domains are 3-5 years old. Except above - only positives. Szy.
Hi everybody! I've been in affiliate marketing for many years now, but hung around a different forum. I'm new to this forum and the co-op. Anyway.... I was wondering if the amount of weight you have to throw at a keyword changes as the network grows. If the overall weight of the network grows say 2 times, will the same amount of weight get you on average the same amount of back links? Less? More? Has anyone analyzed this? I couldn't find any thread on this.
