Hi Ok so i understand the concept of PR.. PR0 being lowest and PR10 being highest but I wanted to know what factors are their in getting a high PR. Is it the amount of unique visits your site gets or backlinks? And how do you get on the first few pages of google? I kow its partly based on SEO and how well you handle your keywords, but what is the main factor of these 2 things. Thanks
PR used to be dependent on the number of sites linking to your site but in the last PR update, there had been instances where sites show PR4 with few or zero backlinks... Google PR algo remains a mystery these days.
Links = PR and it should to be 'dofollow' links The higher PR the linking page have the higher it will pass, however it depends also on many factors: like total links on that page, relevancy, quality content, etc...
Quality Content + Unique Hits + dofollow links. Google will consider quality of every web pages but not website. we should optimize every web pages with Fresh content and try to get Maximum Dofollow links. Eric
Quality backlinks related to your site niche will increase your rank on search results about that niche. Your position on search results depending on your PR and your backlinks have different effect if its related to your site content or not
PR depends on the backlinks that your site have. The more backlinks you have, the better the PR will be. And it also depends on the quality of backlinks that your site have. Backlinks from high PR pages worth more.
PR is the aggregate of all backlinks to a webpage. it is computed based on some weighted average algorithms. if other high PR webpages link to you, you will get more PR. so it is not always quantity but quality of links
