What's the keyword with the MOST competition you've ranked #1 for

Mine's only 1.9 million, but I haven't tried for much more... It took about a month and about 15 link trades ranging from pr1 to 4.

What's your best, and what did it take? Details!

 

for #1 none. For #2 i got 3.4 millions... right now i'm targeting a keyword (top10 already) for 14.5 millions.

 

rank 2 out of 12 900 000 in Google. I wont get the first position, because the top site is Microsoft.

That is just a few, but I wanted to show the ones with some of the highest numbers .

 

i have ranked pretty good on some competitive keywords, here's a few.

am ranking 12th for "make friends on internet" Competition is 113,000,000
am 18th for "cheap Indian advertising" competiton is 8,680,000
am 7th for "low cost indian ads" competiton is 11,100,000

am 15th for "cheap banner advertisement" 1,250,000

now here are some stats about my blog:

3rd for "Adding a sitemap to blogger" on 3,660,000
1st for "webmasters help to website success" 1,280,000

 

I had a #1 ranking for "raincoat" at yahoo with 1,5 million results once

 

are those keywords related to affilate progrems? if so can u recomd me 1? im in a very bad time ...already spent 250$ on ads and no purchase....

#1 for "240sx", competition is 1,110,000...

I'm #15 for digital 3d forum out of 21.5 mill!

And #4 for digital seo forum out of 2.5 mill!

 

Lots of unexpected keywords are targeted. But notice the word "free" is used in many web pages. So the results are big. Any general terms get you huge results, but it doesn't always mean you are top of those competitors.

Using allinancho:free education - 328,000 pages. And probably majority of these are the ones who SEO with keyword "free education". You also want to Google allintitle: to estimate your competitor.

 

#1 google - image hostin (TYPO of hosting, but lots people type hostin )

#1 google - microsoftsucks

 

I have several #1's for terms with between 2Million and 7Million results, but I have #2 for a 19,200,000 term.

 

I have one which comes up on #3 of google out of 1,200,000 but the hard part is staying there.
Any suggestions to stay on the top.

 

I m on 5th number on google for keyword " free wallpapers "

 

My best is #3 out of 32,400,000...not too shabby!
