Well just like the title. I just recently found out that you can actually targer your ad publisher. I was wondering if anybody know which one would be the highest pay category for the YPN.?

    please let me know.

    Thanks.

Tough question. Kind of obvious though. Financial/Medical etc...
PS: Use targeting accordingly. Don't abuse it. ;)

Targeting is supposed to be used to get relevant ads on your site. Choosing medical ads for an arcade, etc, site can lead to termination.

the best targetting is contextual targetting. as usual, i agree with mjewel. if you feel you need to use ad targetting, choose a relevant category. personally, i only use contextual targetting (for the so many reasons ive stated in previous posts).

Most users in this forum will not tell your what they use...you have to figure it out yourself. Telling just leads to competition.

Exactly, and competition means reduced rates, which means someone else will pose this thread's same exact question over again, and so on, and so on.

This would be true if all categories were equal. But I would say Albanian banjo sites don't make as much as niche business/medical/financial sites.

Here's a tip, watch wear advertising dollars are spent in the real world. Who is buying commercials on TV? Who has big ads in the paper or the phone book? What industries have the richest, slickest salesmen? These are areas to be explored.

I think they were talking about relevant ads increasing your CTR which would net you more dollars, not the pay per click. I have some niche sites that get hundreds of clicks a day and the CTR can increase by 300% when certain extremely relevant ads are showing. Ad relevance can be a huge problem with Yahoo - I can sometimes net more with adsense even if each click pays half of YPN.

you will make more $ targeting credit/debt/loans/ but ypn will eventually ban you if you are targeting high keywords and that has nothing to do with content of your site. . just be aware of that.
