I heard one guy said he got the whole vilesilencer list for $20. there's now way I'd do that much submitting for $20.

vilesilencer offers it starting at $1.20each. That sounds fair.

Yeah I read that post, I think the guy got his sister to do it for $20 bucks! Only a family member would give you such a rate.

$1.20 a post seems a little much... I received a lot of offers after this post ranging from $40 for 400 subs to $70 for 400 subs. I have to wonder about the quality of work considering I know this stuff takes a lot of time.

I was doing 5$ for submissions to 100 directories, I can't imagine the price dropping much from that no matter the country.

What matters is you make an acceptable amount of money for the time you need to invest in submitting, or managing submitting.

When doing 5$ I was planning to do bulk amounts and survive on low margins (I make about 1$ per 100).

I never tried submitting to 300+ directories.

Does that work? Does it gets atleast a PR2 and atleast 50 unique vistors a day?

(assuming one has good unique content)

Depending on the answers, I might opt for directory submissions.

That price seems like a realistic one but can you get business when you are being undercut for the guys that do it for less than half of what you charge?

Yes. I and many others are prime example.

People are not getting this, but directory submissions are NOT about the price.

Submission services that accept any junk job, as long as it pays, are going to be banned on plenty of directories, well especially on those which matter most - the high quality ones. If they are banned, their clients don't make it through, no matter how quality their site is.

Also submission is not just about sticking the damn link somewhere. Often it takes a lot of care.

I for one do rewrite of the titles and descriptions of my customers all the time, tweaking them for those few directories where I know it will make a difference. Even if the titles are quality, sometimes little tweak still makes difference. And I could go on and on.

The quality is the reason why I never hired another person to work for/with me. You can train people, but often all they are interested, is to make the most work in least time, to get good money. And to do that, sacrificing quality is the easiest and quickest way.

Anyway...as with anything.... you can get high quality service for $20, as well as you can get bad service for $200. And vice versa, of course.
