What's the going price for text-links for the different PRs? I know traffic is a factor too, but I'm more concerned about PR.

On average, about how much does a webmaster get for selling a link on a:

    PR2 website
    PR3 website
    PR4 website
    PR5 website
    etc.

    ?

Also, does anyone know if webmasters tend to make more money selling their own links or going through text-link-ads?

It's pretty hard to price a text link based on PR alone. As you said traffic and how many links on the page all impact the price of text links. SEO Chat has a tool that I use for pricing links and it serves my purpose fine.

Text Link Ads is ok for selling links but the problem is they take such a huge cut out of the proceeds. Something like 50%. If you can sell links yourself and you have the time to do it I would suggest doing it yourself.

The advantage of Text Link Ads is that you do not have to worry about the processing of payments etc and your text link advertisements are always advertised.
