Whats the facsination with fancy dress parties?

    I have a friends 21st party tonight and she has made it a dressup party. It seems like every party I go too is fancy dress. Why can't people just have normal parties these days.. I hate fancy dress:mad:

    anyway the theme for the party tonight is: "What you wanted to be when you were younger"

    I was going to go as a scientist, but changed my mine and going as a retired person :D

    but seriously... anyone know why everyone loves fancy dress?

    Better quality people at dress parties. If they took the time to look nice to come to your party you know you won't have a bunch of drunks just looking for a place to flop down.

    Or, if the "fancy dress" party has lots of hot girls coming in sexy outfits, I wouldn't be complaining :D

    I would rather just come dressed nice instead of fancy dress.

    haha.. It was no alcohol :D

    haha... nah not really any of them... no one did skimpy outfits.


    anyway, the party was pretty good. Still not a fan of dressups, have to convince my girlfriend to not have one (its her 21st coming up and she wants one too :S)
