Whats the efect of a MOZ name on a directory ?

    I was just wondering what efect would a moz name on a directory have ?
    Found an available domain name, but i'm not decided if I should use it or not ...

    would be like *****moz.com ..

    What are your thoughts?

    Agreed. It's not really unique and doesn't give you any SERP advantages IMO.

    I doubt it will give you any advantage in terms of PR or SERPS. I'm not convinced it will help attract more users either.

    Maybe go for a more keyword rich URL? Or if it is niche, then a url containing the name of the topic.

    With a name like that, your directory will always be a copy of something else no matter how big and successful it becomes. I've never understood why anyone would want to start a new endeavor by branding themselves as a copy of the competition.

    I think 1 guy just had moz at the end of his directory name and it became successful so everyone copied, maybe like all these tube.com domains you see for video sites now.

    Following a name that was successful doesn't always fetches results, you are required to perform good SEO skills overall to make it a good site. Names alone will give you no advantage.
