I don't thinkyou have to work really hard to STOP selling online. That is pretty automatic, if you really can't stop selling stuff online, try closing down your website, that should take care of it for you!
To start a website at weebly.com it is free and simple. You can have a page published in a few minutes. To stop selling I would review a product. If you are giving an honest review than you will make more sales with out selling a thing. Keep it simple.
Blogger.com is also a good place to start. It's easy to use and you can do some advanced stuff there too... Or, you could simply buy a domain, write a bunch of articles, send your traffic to your domain and voila I personally believe that article marketing is a brilliant way of making some quick and easy cash... it's hard work, but it pays off...
When you're just starting out it's often much easier to start by finding a good affiliate program... the websites should be provided for you... then you can have some money coming in while you get your website up and running and learn how to optimize it. SEO is very time intensive and has a long and arduous learning curve for most people, but can also be an exciting challenge. Just depends on what you like to do, how soon you want to have decent money coming in and how much time you have to dedicate to the learning process. Personally, I couldn't wait that long.
That's exactly why I believe article marketing is such a good way to start generating income online... 1) Get a domain and redirect it to an affiliate offer 2) Write 5-10 articles every day and submit them to ezinearticles 3) Rinse and repeat When you start to see some money from the above method, then you can send the traffic to a landing page and start grabbing their email addresses and that kind of stuff
agreed, that would teach you a lot about writing content also, if you want to take it a step further, you could simply start off with a landing page and install tracking apps (tracking202 comes to mind) and learn how to optimize your site you could learn a lot simply by doing that, and take it from there.
Yeah... when one gets a bit more experienced and start to see some affiliate income, it'd be a very good idea to test out different stuff... For example, Make a simple splittest.php file that sent the traffic to a) directly to affiliate offer or b) to a pre-sales page or c) to a landing page with opt-in box But, IMO, I'd start with the stuff that would make me some quick and "easy" (it's still a lot of work) cash. And in my case, that'd be article marketing were I'd link directly to the offer (through a redirect domain, since EZA won't allow it if not)...
Agreed... although it's only fair to say that effective article writing is also a long and arduous learning process for most people. I would recommend that people add offline marketing to the mix because in reality, that is the least complicated way to earn income. Again, this will create a source of income while learning the ropes in online marketing. Now I know that's anathema to many online marketers because it sounds so old school... like turn off all your friends and family because you torment them with offers to the latest and greatest scheme you have in mind. However, that is NOT what you should have in mind. There are very effective ways to find a target market off line and simply share a little information with them. Never try to sell your contacts. They won't like hearing it anymore than you like pitching it. But with the right product, the right market, the right comp plan and a 'personally interested' approach, you'd be surprised at how fast those commissions add up from people who are crying out for your product. Note: The product must be something people really need. Something you don't need to sell. Something that they will want over and over because it helps them so much. That takes the 'sell' right out of the your marketing efforts!
Exactly.... Internet Marketing isn't a quick fix... And article marketing is pretty hard, in the sense that you'd have to sit and be creative for hours and hours.... If you hate writing, it isn't cool I haven't really experienced with offline marketing, so can't really comment on that. Again... Just as you say... Affiliate and Article Marketing is a great way to learn how everything works and what makes people buy... Then after a while, with some experience, one could launch a "see how I made $XXX in XXX days" kinda product
