google algo count your backlinks very less with compare to yahoo, that might be one of the reason for that, and there is lots of difference in algorithm and the way by which they indexed your site.yahoo take less time where as google take more time.these are some of the reasons which i know.

Google has a few different factors like domain and link age. I really don't think Yahoo! has caught on to those things yet, if even ever they wanna go that route. Y! likes one-way links from where-ever, as long as there one-way non-reciprocal...you're golden.

Google has been known for being the "search engine" so I wouldnt really bother with yahoo.

I'd check over your site for any technical issues. Google seems to pay more attention to coding issues and slow site speed, whereas Yahoo is all about the backlinks. Also it generally takes longer for Google to trust a site.

I think that the Google is search engine in the true sense of the word ...
I always thought that Yahoo uses search results from Google ...

What has occurred to me in the eye that is always on yahoo achieved slightly better results than on Google for the same key word ...
Maybe it's not a rule but it applies in my case ...

However, when the optimized site, I following only Google's rules of optimization ...
I think that there is no essential difference ...
Perhaps only in shifting the accent from one thing to another ...
