What do you think the difference in clicks per position is?

Lets say my keyword 'widgets' gets 1000 searches a day.

Now im in position 11 for widgets and I get X amouount of clicks. How much do you think I could increase that by if I were on the first page?

Then how much would position one get?

could be at least 10 times fold. I'm ranked #2 for the most competitive keyword in my niche and it drives around xxx, xxx+ hits per month when before it was only driving around xx,xxx hits per month.

One rough rule of thumb that I have heard is that each position receives 75% as much traffic as the position above it.

    Obviously, this is very rough.

Basically Ive been working hard to drive traffic for the keyword 'game servers' which sends around 50 visits a day for the alternatives 'game servers/game server /games servers' game serves' now I dont want this to get on a SEO discussion cause ill get more infractions for that, but...

If im getting 50 visits on your formula I should get around

    (50*1.25)^12

800 visits a day for these keywords?
