Knowledge can and should be seen as a constant balancing act between creative and learning processes. As humans we have to undergo many errors to develop a way to ultimately advance our foolish mistakes then process them into lessons learned. But knowledge is like a true or false proposition and it can be something in between. Being both true and false at the same time can appear to be simple and concise opposites but in reality much of what passes for knowledge is what I would call a gray area, which lies somewhere in between true and false.
Many people have different learning levels. For example, some individuals are good in areas such as listening, reading, speaking, writing or problem solving, and some have very good reasoning skills. Among us to define between knowledge and wisdom depends on whom we ask and the answer we receive would differ from individual to individual depending on their level of education.
I can only give my personal opinion of what knowledge is to me. Knowledge to me is intelligence gained from books, movies or other means of instructed learning. Someone who demonstrates a combination of data facts or lessons learned through study is a knowledgeable person to me. This would be an informative individual who you would feel comfortable to ask any question or concern that you may have on your mind. Once you have a better understanding then you begin to gain the building blocks of knowledge. Next to that, old faith, a lifetime of learning lessons of study and life wisdom.
Wisdom is gained over time; some of us may acquire wisdom faster than others. In order for wisdom to be gained there first must be some level of knowledge. Wisdom is gained through the knowledge of knowing what we have learned throughout our life experiences. Mistakes and achievements can both be sources of wisdom for a person. Once you make a mistake you have gained the wisdom of knowing that you did not make the right decision and you will use that wisdom for future reference if you are ever in that situation again. The wisdom gained from achievements is meaningful in the way that you would want to continue the actions that led you to the achievement. In either scenario you have gained wisdom and became wiser.
My definition of wisdom is a lot of things that would include a lot of words to describe. I would say that wisdom comes from paying attention to our elders and take heed in what they tell us after all they have “walked the walk” and we need to listen when they “talk the talk.” This basically means that we should learn from the mistakes of our elders before we have the misfortune of making the same mistake ourselves. I have heard somewhere “with knowledge comes wisdom.” Someone with common sense measures wisdom to me.
I know many people who have a lot of knowledge, but they are dumber than a box of rocks when it comes to the simplest of tasks. They lack the wisdom gained from the experience of the task. I feel that I have to work harder than other students in my classes, however I feel that it builds a very strong character within my self. Everyone creates his or her own level of how they would like to excel in their future achievements. As far as we know life has many experiences to offer, and we must learn from the good and the bad, gaining knowledge and wisdom from our failures and accomplishments.
I can recall a past experience of my own. When I was a very young child my older sister convinced me to eat mud pies. Well… I had no inkling that mud did not taste very well. It did not take me long to figure out that she had tricked me. Looking back I can see that I was about to be tricked. We had worked so hard to find the perfect ingredients to add to our pies, she would scavenger for the ingredients and I was in charge of the mixing and preparation. We were determined to make the best mud pie in the world, The fact that she was not eager to partake in the delightful taste of the pies we had worked so had to prepare should have clued me into the fact that I was about to be made out to be a fool. I was not alone I my pie tasting, my sister had recruited our younger (and just as gullible) brothers. We actually looked forward to tasting the creations made of mud, flour, cinnamon, and decorated with daisies. Now I know that mud is mud no matter what you add to it, but back then we were spitting mud out of our mouths for a while. Once we got the mud out of our mouths and regained our composure, my brothers and I agreed in a secret meeting that we had been fooled. Just to be on the safe side we decided to run the recipe by our mother to see if we were really fooled or if it was a real recipe that had gone bad in the preparation. Our mother confirmed the fact that our older sister had fooled us. That was the first and last time I ever dined on anything containing mud as the main ingredient. We no longer trusted our older sister with her cooking creations, and as we got older we learned that there really wasn’t much at all that we could trust our older sister with. When we were younger we assumed with her being our “big sister” we could trust her, but she always go the better of us all. Through my knowledge and wisdom of my years as her little brother, I know that she is controlling and untrustworthy. And to conclude, as an adult I always ask, "Who made the pies??”

Knowledge pertains to the information you possess, wisdom is the ability to use such information. I think I agree with Seobusiness more or less.

I agree with SEOBusiness. It's like one of Albert Einstein quotes, "The only source of knowledge is experience." Experience, in turn, gives a person wisdom, depending on how that person uses what has been given to them.

Knowledge is talking about your experience, applying it etc..
Wisdom is talking about your knowledge.

The difference is that Knowledge actually exists, wisdom doesn't, wisdom can be faked, wisdom is a label for insecure and still not quite reached their point kind of people.

Suggestions of wisdom are quite arrogant actually, suggstions of wisdom are like suggesting you have somehow surpassed most others that you can only advise, nothing more can be taught to you.

Its very shallow, knowledge should be what you seek in this world and beyond, you should understand that of all the things that you can gain from your life that knowledge should have the most importance placed on it.

Im not religious but i believe we go onto a higher vibrational level when we leave this world.

I believe we can take 2 things with us, our astral body and knowledge that we gathered while here.

Id gladly take a hammer to anyone who sees themselves as wise. :)

I have no interest in the Bible and believe nothing from it, same with the Quran and all of the other holy books, for me they are all fake, written to mould society.:)

One of the weirdest things about knowledge and society combined is that a man or woman can be kept in a mental institution for having "different thoughts" yet its ok to believe that some bloke walked on water, performed magic tricks, rose from the dead (like a zombie) and was born without sexual intercourse taking place first.

True knowledge for me is pushing all that fairytail junk to one side where it should be and having some common sense thought, il find my own knowledge thanks and never ever see myself or anyone else as wise.

See the trick? the 3 wise men, they followed the stars, astrology? to find jesus in a stable, suggesting people in the future follow the "wise men" the wise men following astrology too, but for darker reasons, satanic connections.

Looking too far into things maybe? :) or just deciding for myself?

I think Wisdom is more important as wisdom is having right knowledge at right time in right manner. Knowledge is power but wisdom is the way more powerful. Knowledge without wisdom is like throne without kingdom.
