    ok, but you analysis both are same but some differences in seo include all think but smo include only smo, without seo not possible smo. ok...........

    If we start one by one:-

    1. SEO:- SEO is a process which help search engines to find and rank your website higher than the billions of another websites in response to search query. Means search engine friendly. Some activities which was fallen in SEO is like Directory Submission, Press Release Submission and Articles Submission. The main target of SEO is increase Backlinks of a site.

    2. SMO:- SMO is so differ from SEO because the expanded form of SMO is Social Media Optimization and from the word SMO means to promote your site media, public. The activities of SMO is like Bookmarking, RSS Feed, forums. A important activity of SMO is Video Posting because this activity increases your visitors.

    You almost got me confused there with the SMO stuff. We all know social media are always a subset of SEO so I don't think they can be seen as rivals of sort. Just that the popularity of SMO is on a high.

    Right you are, SMO is NOT the rival to SEO, the ones who say so are mistaken, that goes without any doubt. To be honest, I'd advise you to google and check the books on this stuff. Forum members will always have different opinions

    SEO and SMO are very similar in the respects that they both include content creation in an effort to improve traffic however the difference between SEO and SMO is that SEO is an effort to improve the traffic to an intended website, whereas SMO is an effort to improve the activity and communications between a network and a single user or brand.
