Whats the difference between Linux web hosting and Windows web hosting?

    Please tell em what the difference is between linux web hosting and windows web hosting. I made my site by dreamweaver does that affect either of the 2 i should choose please tell me thanx!

    You should go for Windows webhosting if you're using ASP, .NET , Windows Streaming Media, Access, MSSQL (or other ms technologies) in your website, because most linux webhosts doesn't support these.

    But if its just a simple php/html/cgi/perl based website, linux would be the best option.

    You don't really need windows webhosting for that :)
