Whats the difference between Custom URL channel and Performance Reports Site

I have adsense on multiple domains and I want to track each domain only,

right now when i go to Performance Reports, under Sites, I can see a list of the sites that has my adsense on it plus how much
each site makes,

so what is the use of having a Custom URL channel ??? Do i even need it ?

 

huh i dont get it, I mean for tracking my multiple sites on adsense, do I need to use custom URL or can i just view it under Performance Reports -> Sites

 

if you need only to track individual site, you just need to add the channel for individual website

 

If you've got one ad per site then no, you don't need to add custom channels. Google automatically adds one per site in the new interface.

I don't have custom channels, but when I view my performance report -> Site, it shows my different sites with the adsense,

does that mean it is tracked??

 

One ad unit ... or same ad unit on all pages, not lots of different channels within one site.

Of course its tracked, by the per-site channels google has made for you.
