Chinese is Chinese and Japanese is Japanese. Chinese cannot be Japanese and on the same way, Japanese cannot be Chinese. Got it? Chinese is different from Japanese. I'm a Chinese (though not born in China), Japanese was originated from China centuries ago, that is why there are a lot similarities between Chinese and Japanese. After migrated to a land called Japan, they tend to live in their new lifestyle (e.g. what they had for food) that shaped their new appearance(e.g look, height). So do Korean.
Chinese characters are not the same with the Japanese nor Koreans, they speak different language, though they may look the same for western people, if you look or observe closely, you'll see the difference between the Japanese, Koreans and Chinese. And yes I agree on Japanese girls...kawaii!!! ~~~o
chinese people specially from china province are people you wouldn't want to trust.Japanese people on the other hand are people with a word of honor , I'm not saying all of them but most of them are like that. when it comes to languages and writings both are totally different it only looks the same because you don't understand it.

They are different languages.English and French share the same script ( characters) called ROMAN script.Similarly, Chinese and Japanese share the same script, but they are different. Now!! Tell me the difference between Scottish, Irish and English!
