What's the difference between Article Submission and Guest Blogging?

    I heard lot of people talking about Article Submission and Guest Blogging. So what on earth the difference between them? Which is better and which is easier?

    Most important, what's your prefer websites for Article Submission or Guest Blogging?

    i dont know much about guest blogging but article submitting is a way of submitting your articles on various article directories.it help in getting link popularity

    I feel that Twitter is the best one for the following reasons,
    # easy to use and effective results
    # more number of users, more common social media to drive traffic
    # easy way for interaction
    # can be used as an customer care service as well
    # just 140 characters microblogging but the results are too good
    # more number of tools to manage profile as well

    Article marketing results in many low quality links, guest blogging gives you one high quality link and traffic.

    The difference is this, if I understand you correctly.

    Article submission is the act of submitting articles to external places (ie submitting your articles to directories, other blogs, social bookmarks, etc). Guest blogging is a process where either you write a post as a guest blogger on someone's content site (usually this would be by invitation), or inversely you would invite a blogger to write a piece of content on your site.

    To be fair, the question is an apples vs. oranges variety, but I think I have clarified the distinction. It is a little confusing, as submitting a guest blog is a form of article submission...

    Guest blogging takes more effort to coordinate. Generally, I prefer article submission as I have control over the content and links.

    Nice summary. I'd like to point out, however, that in guest blogging you usually DO have control over content and links if you adhere to the rules of the blogger. I, for example, will not change a word from a guest blogging on my blog (provided it's not spamming, in which case I will simply not allow posting).
