i keep getting emails trying to sell me an ebook about how any site can get #1 on MSN search for ANY keyword without needing backlinks through some 'loophole'
Anyone know what they are talking about?

I've seen the emails for the ebook. I don't believe it can be done but I'd like to hear from someone objective who has tried it.

OK, without getting to specific since the author might get pissed if I give away the secrets:

I got the program about 2 weeks ago and got started. It's an on going process.

I launched one "money site" on a brand new domain name (the site that's supposed to get ranked for the key term) 3 days ago (12/1).

Continuing to press ahead with the part of the program that's supposed to get the site ranked.

So far, no traffic to the money site.

I read on Sitepoint or some other forum I can't remember that some people are a little upset about the method, but i guess that depends on person to person.
Basically they said you are setting up 20 minisites with 20 pages of content each on 20 different IPs and linking to your site.
I guess the reason that its called a 'loophole' is because MSN doesn't have a sophisticaed enough algo to realize how you got all of these links?
Good luck to all those who purschased and let us know if you got results off the full details in the book

Purchased program and followed instructions with domains going live beginning 1 Dec. No significant traffic; 1-2 visitors a day coming from Yahoo, none from MSN.

I'd be interested to know how this one goes - I have been fobbed off plenty of times before so tend to avoid any emails like that. I'll be popping in here regularly to see the progress!

Yahoo traffic is arriving - not as much as I'd like. Still nothing from MSN, which is supposed to be the target SE. Some of the sites are getting 10 - 20 a day from a new launch within the last month.

OK, two months since I launched my first 'money site' and set up the rest of the system that is supposed to get the money site indexed and ultimately drive the traffic. And the results are.....

Pretty much nothing. Although some small amount of traffic has trickled in, none of it has resulted in generating a sale or lead. So does the loophole thing work? Maybe. But it hasn't worked for me.....
