How can they give away $100 / signup? And is that model sustainable? Admittedly, it's more lucrative to sell ads yourself, but that's pretty easy. I can't imagine folks paying $40 / month for PR6 links butI guess it could happen.
I sure hope it's sustainable : ) On some of my low traffic/high PR sites I make more from TLA than from adsense. VERY happy with results so far. Using them for 3-4 months, each month was better than the previous.
TLA has really helped me monetize a few low traffic/high PR sites as well. I'm very happy with the results. As far as the $100... remember, their cost is at most 50% of that so it's not as bad as you might think.
Also to add they are rapping people on article links. Charging about 1000% over what the cost should be. So if people are actually falling for that then they are definetly making a ton of money and can afford it. If you dont know what I mean read this.. http://www.text-link-ads.com/articlelinks.php Basically $600 for 20 permanent links which you can have someone write an article for $5 and pay someone else $15 to submit to 125 article directories giving you more than 20 links. So they are charging $600 for something you can pay $20 for and you still dont have to do anything.
I have used them from both the seller and advertiser, and they are good on both sides. If you have a relevant site/blog, then it is very possible that someone will want to pay $40 or more to put a link on it. Many of the sites that sell links through them have very good click and conversion rates. Their inventory is huge and some very prominent sites advertise with them.
Exactly. That's why they're so popular and I'm sure they'll keep growing as long as people continue to see the value of the service they provide.
I've never found a use for them either as an advertiser or a publisher. Prices are so high just so the publisher can get a decent cut.
Can't fault them myself, they've sold all the links I've given them at a greater price than I can get elsewhere - as long as you have the type of site (PR and look & feel), they are unbeatable for monetising IMHO.
Its the same reason hosting companies pay $60 to affiliates for a $10/month plan. They count on you staying more than 1 month, buying more links, and / or recommending your friends.
