What's the deal with PR?

    Lots of threads about PR.
    How can you see if there is a true PR? or a forged PR?
    Even between DP members, there are divergencies...

    Look at backlinks as well as PR - sounds obvious, but a high PR is unlikely without a large number of good backlinks.

    tons of ways to check PR, there are quite a few scripts out there to do it. heres another, i ihave several..:D

    Well, that's my point.
    I'm checking a domain which shows PR4 on my G bar. So far, so good...
    I use: http://www.checkpagerank.net => PR4 - Page rank is valid
    I use: http://www.database-search.com/sys/pre-check-en.php => PR4 - Page rank is not valid and seems to be forged.
    I use: http://www.iwebtool.com => PR0 - Valid

    I also Google for PR checker and even found PR checker saying the PR is not from that site :confused:

    So, you may have a PR7 site over there, which is PR0 over here, not valid there and forged elsewhere...Pffff....

    Now that everybody only cares about PR, probably Google will start charging a monthly fee for you to see your PR. SeoMoz style :D

    pr is only a number. it will effect nothink.
