Is this really a nice little way to make some extra cash or what? I am seeing a ton of them popping up everywhere. The bandwidth costs must be insane! They are a pretty simple setup though; the old upload your file, give link to someone else and have the file expire after x amount of time. What are you guys thoughts on these?
I'll like to know too. Personally, I thought that anonymous file sharing sites are a conduit for software and multimedia piracy. I guess I may be outdated because I don't see any other purpose of them. True, bandwidth cost may be high but I guess some of such sites do offer restrictions for free file hosting like bandwidth and space. They may be banging on upselling the paid services.
Yeah, because i wouldn't see much profit out of ads. People are their to get the file, not browse the site and what it has to offer.... I dont know, heh
In attempts to make file sharing a profitable business, some peer-to-peer networks have begun to bundle in adware and spyware applications.
