Whats the deal with 4 letter domains?

Are they worth more because there are so few available these days?

It took me a few hours just to find two of them...

    UGFJ and GFJU ...

Im thinking perhaps because they are easier used for acronyms than 5+ letters, plus some people like acronyms for their sites cuz theres less to type?

Speculators are grabbing 4 letter domains but they only have real instrinsic value if they can be branded, make a word or are easy to remember acronyms (ie CIBC=canadian imperial bank of commerce).

In a few years speculators will be scrambling for 7 letter domains. :)

tobycoke, that won't happen. There will be so many combos:

    ragrahb3
    random stuff.

but yea all 3 letter .coms are gone so now onto 4 letter...

They are useful if they make sense. If its just leeters bearing no meaning then its not worth much.

There are a hugh number of LLL.com possibilities, about 236,000 possibilities if I remember correctly. All the premium letter ones & pronouncable ones are taken as far as I know
