I've seen many cheap vps providers like these 2 http://neosurge.com http://www.squidyhost.com/client/cart.php?gid=5 and vps.net is not so expensive The problem is that I created a website and the demo is gonna be up and running in 2 weeks, i might be able to run it on a vps but i will eventually need a lot of bandwidth and disk space, so in 3 months i have to get a dedi and next year i have to get cdn...next year i will have a lot of money from the site so i'm not worried about next year, i'm worried about the first step, i was looking for an investor and found none so i have to pay from my own money and i can not delay the demo any longer coz I'm working 3 americans and one computer scientist from Argentine.
thank u sir i'm gonna look at it ... i forgot to say that i don't need cpanel coz i found pretty good open source hosting panels and i don't need them to set it up coz i know how and i don't need support coz google wiki and youtube are always there for me
Look for discounted vps deals, this may be an easier way to start. I would recommend to choose a high-end vps package over a low-end dedicated server. On a non-oversold vps package you'll be able to get a by far better performance due to guaranteed CPU, RAM and hdd resources.
i know bro, first i'm gonna start with a cheap vps and then upgrade it and keep getting better vps but sooner or later i will need a dedi, coz i will need more bandwidth than you have ever imagined in your life, if i get through this year, next year i will have a lot of money so i can get a cdn and i'm not kidding, i searched for investors, no one replied to my business plan so i have to pay from my money, and i'm wiling to do everything possible to create my site, i had the idea 3 years ago and couldn't create it back then, i'm sick and tired of all investors, one investor seems to be interested "Godaddy" but i'm afraid of godaddy coz they could steal my idea, i prefer to pay from my money so i'm looking for a cheap dedi just for this year so i can get things on the right way. besides as i said in the question 2 people working with me and 3 others standing by so i don't want to lose my team members u know
Cheap doesn't mean good = 'cheap is not good, but good is not cheap' - I'd better pay some extra dollars for reliability and speed than to see my web sites down. You will get what you pay for.
i really didn't wanted to reply to serverpoint thread but since you ruzler are arguing about that point too then i have to say this (no offense to serverpoint) First serverpoint says that because he is a member of serverpoint.com and they have expensive service so he want to advertise his website by saying that cheap servers are bad...I work with a hosting company (not employee, i just do some work there and some apps for the company) it's called euclidiaonline.com and the hosting department there is called i-lebanon.net, I'm a close friend with the boss and he argues that he's service is the best...some of his servers are being used by amazon, hostgator and godaddy, he's a partner of godaddy...and I don't host any of my websites with him, because I know the rules of the game guys," pretending that you are the best" besides I have a rule in my life not to host or do business with my friends coz i cannot leave them and not get embarrassed, you can say fuukk you to hostgator without feeling guilty.-----------if I was in serverpoint's place i would have said what he said-------- Back to the point, as Johnatan said (if he answered my question on yahoo answers, i would give him 10 pts but I don't know the about the points system here) ch-center.com is really good indeed and serverpronto.com is good....I DON'T want any stupid server next year i will have my own cdn i just wanna get through this year and guys i'm not a stupid, during the beta version only people that I invite will see the demo and when I launch the site, yes there will be traffic but not so much coz it will be new idea that people never heard of, so next year I will have traffic, i don't want to waste money from now till then, I want to be financially able to run it next year without begging for money or putting a donation button...
