The sub directory where I added my site to has no volunteer editor. What's the chance that any "higher level editor" might stumble upon my site submission and add my site? Do you think applying as editor in such sub category would be an idea worth considering? Thanks for your reply.
Higher level editors don't just stumble across, it is usually a positive decision, especially when the editor has main responsibility just up the tree. Also believe that when an editor is named they will often have many other categories in which they can edit and it may be a while before they get back to any one. I am named in several categories that I have done nothing in for some months now (JimNoble don't read that bit). If you give the impression that what all you want to do is become an editor so that you can list your own site as the main reason you will likely get a refusal. We need editors who have a wider view and want to build up that category. Many tips have been given on these threads if you care to search about applying to become an editor. But be honest, ensure spelling and grammar is good, sites fit category exactly and choose a category with less than 100, but more than 50 sites INCLUDING sub categories.
That's not correct. 15-100 Iincluding subcats) are the usual soft limits but excellent applications can be accepted outside those bounds. I've seen very very few excellent applications BTW and I've processed thousands .
You probably printed mine out, framed it and it now hangs on your office wall I just cant remember if that was my 3rd or 4th application (LOL)
