What's the catch?

This website had an ad that I found by clicking on Add URL from the adsense linky bar. But there doesn't seem to be any adsense or way for them to monetize their website. Why are they paying money to adwords? There's ALWAYS a catch.

No catch. The owner just wants some trafic, or just wants his page known :)

Damn it. Understand Grazzy. Adwords ads do not count as backlinks.

Hey ... He was talking about finding this website's ad on some other website. Not that this website would have ads :)

I think he meant they just want the page to get known so it acquires natural backlinks.

You lost me. I clicked on the adsense link panel at the bottom of the last post. It said Add URL. And the last ad displayed was the link I posted.

If he wanted a backlink he got it :)

Quite often, Websites start up with no ads and simply try to generate traffic. When the site becomes establishes, it turns on ads or other mechanisms for monetizing.
