this is rss feed aggregator.it is in xml format.it describes the title,description of your website.you subsribed it and it provides you information at one place without visiting the website regularly .rss means sharing or distribution of information rss means rich site summary.

In mozilla firefox when you open a url if it contains any xml feed firefox shows a orange box besides URL, click on it and it will open up the XML feed of that site!
