What's the best wireless solution?

I have a linksys wireless B router that is going on a few years now. I've never really had an issue with it before, but it's driving me nuts now.
I just moved into a new place a few months ago, and ever since I moved in my connection has been very jumpy (cuts off for a second or two pretty regularly), and I can't upload any faster then ~35kbps. My downloads aren't much better..only around 100-150kbps. Now I pay comcast a pretty penny for their '6mb' connection, and my roommate who is wired into the router seems to be doing just fine, but I'm left behind.
Please note that I'm not any further then 15 feet from the router, seperated only by a wall and my TV.
What's the best wireless solution out there (hopefully under $200, a bonus if it's under $100 :) ). What should I be looking for?

I use a Linksys WRT54G too. Best thing I can suggest would be to upgrade the router to something that supports 802.11g and get a wireless card for your computer that supports it (if you don't have one already). You will get a longer range and higher speeds than 802.11b.
