What's the best way to promote web hosting service?

Money was spent on licenses, design, etc. and not much is left for promotion, although the service is very cheap and of a good quality, focused primarily on dedicated server solutions. Without promotion, however, it is impossible to win the clientele. Can anyone suggest the best and preferably cheapest way to promote our service? AdSense is asking for $5 per click, which is unacceptable!

 

I suggest you setup an Affiliate Program.Or include you site in CJ or other Affiliate Networks.So you will have to give a % commission only when you get sales.

 

Use other network like bidvertiser,adbrite which is also effective..

 

Forums, and ad networks are the two best solutions. (Strictly speaking about internet marketing.)

 

Since you're on tight budget,i would suggest you just buy some banner ads at webhosting forum and do some link exchange with other hosting site to promote your web hosting.

 

I would recommend to work on your search engine rankings and make sure your on site seo is targeted to industry related, high traffic terms. Then work on getting some quality, related back links to your site and the higher you get in the search engines the more highly related traffic you will receive.

 

I don't like to see stuff like this, sounds like a total planning fail, however you can try to advertise on web development websites, offer special deals, rent ad space in their newsletter where to advertise such special deals only for the members etc
