What's the best way to promote a product on Facebook?

    1. Should I create a separate page for each product I want to sell?

    2. Should I create a business page recommending different products?

    3. Should I advertise an affiliate link to the product that I want to sell?

Are your products actually your products or are they affiliate products?
Are your products going to be related to each other?
I see in #3 that you are going with at least some affiliate products.

I would build a fan page around the niche, not the product. Give them good content about the niche, things to make them learn something, make them laugh, ask their opinion on things, give them multiple choice questions, use interaction to help build your page and likes. People can smell an offer a mile away and if you create your page just to spam them with offers, it will die a very fast death.
If you want to sell products, find a need or a painful situation and fix it for them. That is the product you want to offer. Find the fix, the cure, the way to get them out of pain. If you create a page around that, you can push your product with ease.
Give value most of all, build trust, and help them.
As for building individual pages for each product, that will depend on the product and the niche.

If you give away something of value on your fb page, then you can build a list, and with a list you can offer up affiliate links to offers or products.
Contests are an easy way to build up a page really fast. My friend got a bunch of optin and contest registrations for a free tshirt this week using a contest software on fb. After the contest is over and only one person wins the shirt, she will offer up the non winners a chance to buy the shirt...just an idea for you.
    Hope this helps!

If you are doing fishing products, then you can have one page on general fishing and sell fishing supplies and how to books etc.
However, if you are going to sell products on fly fishing, open water fishing, deep sea fishing, ice fishing, then you need different pages for each niche even though they are all fishing, they are different.
