What's the best way to promote a giveaway on Facebook?

I'm doing some marketing work for a local company that just opened a new location. They are giving away an iPad on August 15 to celebrate.They are local insurance broker and anyone who goes to their website and requests a quote can be entered to win the iPad.Here's what has been done so far.1.Put lots of flyers in the surrounding neighborhoods.2. Announce the giveaway with a Facebook status update.3. After I finish this post I'm going to create an event on Facebook to publicize.I would really appreciate any other advice. Thanks for your time.

 

Try creating a group. Add all the people from your locality and spread the news.

 

Thank you. That is a great idea. Unfortunately our giveaway is over on the 15th. I don't know if they will have enough time to do it effectively on this particular giveaway. I will definitely keep that suggestion in mind for next time.

 

Like avi619 I'd make a group. You'd probably be better off promoting it on twitter though, I get a lot more traffic from twitter than I ever do on facebook.

 

If you have budget, you can try to advertise on Facebook or Google adword
