A company that is doing a great job of promoting itself at the moment is rarewear. They have released a video about two streakers for valentines day. The film ends with a website believeindestiny.com. You go ther then it redirects you to their company's website. It is very clever. So, check it out and maybe create your own viral film with your website at the end of it.
Video marketing its funny no one mentioned this.... this is a relatively new method without much competition... create a few videos about your niche and upload them to youtube and the likes, mention your website in the end... thats it you wont get a huge lots of traffic but you will get some good rep, and maybe even a few subscribers

Although new to this forum I would also recommend aggregating various ideas that have already been mentioned. For example, create a Squidoo lens and use both the YouTube and Flickr modules. Then load videos on YouTube and pictures on Flickr and tag them with keywords that relate to your "main site". You can also add URL's to these as well (in the description). You get the idea... The only rule I would try and follow is not be spammy. Meaning, go out of your way to provide quality content to whatever you do. Good quality content is truly king. On a side note, I would argue that sometimes NOT having a budget makes for the most effective marketing campaigns. Meaning, if I don't have money to spend, but I have to drive traffic/sales to my Web site (and if I don't I lose my job or go hungry or both) then it is amazing how many free avenues you can come up with to accomplish your objective. i second on stumbleupon. they works great for videos, clips and games. Else, you could do links exchange. it will help.
stumble upon is fine but expect a decrease of visitors. just like digg and other social networking sites. best way is to provide good content so that people would bookmark and visit your site again once it reached frontpage like in digg.

Press Release. You have to make or compose your article with good content and then submit to any press release. Normally the article in press release will be issued and displayed at google news or yahoo news. so it's great to get free backlink in a short time.
