I have a vBulletin forum so i could maybe start a community, but then again this isnt a great money spinner. I could also sell my vB and start a hosting company? Or make a proxy? What type of site would get most $$ with good marketing?
the best way is simply TO HAVE ENOUGH money to start something unique that nobody did before::)))))) Just think about this: we are all here because we are business minded. And I believe, everyone here had or has a business idea, that for some reasons is still "the idea":). In most cases people are afraid to borrow and invest money into it, but if you truly believe and KNOW what you are going to sell, you already have 50% of success.
You might try build your own e-shop through affiliate programm like that of Amazon (I'm thinking of that now too). The problem is, that you will have to invest some decent money into it and it will take some time to start earning greater amounts of money. Or learn Photoshop CS3 and Flash CS3 or learn PHP/Mysql, ASP NET or whatever and you can start earning money as freelance designer/programmer. Or come up with some original website idea. Something new.

Glype does come with support for myspace out of the box which is nice, however there are currently more addons available for phpproxy. Either way both will get the job done. - Get a free template for you respective scripts, just do a search hear on DP. The harder you work and the more consistent you are at this, the more money you will make. Start by going to Google and Yahoo Groups and advertising in proxy groups. Browse thru the freebies section here at DP, and search for free proxy advertising. Visit the General Marketing section here on DP. You will find that many standard marketing methods can be adapted to work for advertising proxies. Do a few link exchanges with other proxy webmasters. This will get you started. FYI. Any Medical site running adsense, yahoo publisher, msn publisher makes the most money. Or you can choose hard affiliate programs, selling a product can sometimes get you $200.
If you want to become a millionaire then you need a brilliant new idea. As for your forum it isn't making money because of the lack of users. Try to get it going first. Advertise it. Spend a little. The Internet is like any other business the more you put in the more you are likely to make. Don't just try to get free traffic.
millionaire? lol, i don't think hes aiming that high. He could make and sell sites. Or another idea could be to create an empire of adsense sites. Have 100 sites that run adsense. That usually works.
creating successfull affiliate websites is very very hard. Hard to predict the success, just like gambling, i think the best way is, create a site with your interest, and invest for a domain, hosting and design. Spend 2 to 3 hours with your website. Wait for 1 year. Dont think about any money now. Update update update your site.
Agree. Probably best to just go with adsense, bidvertiser, yahoo or msn publishing. I made nothing from Joe Bucks and that was on a site with 20 000 Uniques a day. Rather worrying.
It's already been said, but the best way to make money with a site is to have something unique that none of your competitors have. Browse some sites in a field your interested in, see what they have, and innovate, or add something new. This increases the likelihood of your success.
I have an interest in photoshop so im thinking a design/graphics forum. Then make tutorials and hopfully get a few on popular tutorial websites. This will then market the forum. Good idea?
run a freelance service-based business (graphics, marketing/consulting, etc). Whatever you earn on an hourly basis will blow away the crap you get from Adsense or affiliates.
You can make your forum popular and make $$$ if you just devote some time and a little money in it. Its all about the way you market it.
