I have a Sports blog that I started and I love talking sports and blogging that I want to expand it to a forum soon. I was wondering what were other ways for me to make money from a sports site and forum?

Hmmm...ebay and amazon affiliate programs?..you could display sports gear with ebay's RSS feed
    Fantasy betting? Legality issues aside...

A lot of sports websites, including espn.com require membership for some of their featured articles. But this will not work unless you have regulars visiting the website.

Check out Kontera. They provide inline link ads. They create a few links from keywords in your content and you get paid per click like Adsense. The quality of ad presentation and sponsors is very good.

Adsense isn't really good idea since their CPC on such Niche is really low.
I think CJ is a good place to find sport related affiliate programs.

Take a look at AuctionAds.com. I'm going to be starting a site with a specific-sport niche and I will be using AuctionAds on it (as well as YPN and Amazon). I am also thinking about looking for offers on Azoogle.
