Whats the best way to learn SEO?

I wonder if it would be possible to learn with checking sourcepages of different websites?I thought that I could compare sourcepage of diffferent websites and I can see their seo work and I can learn.Is it possible with this way?

yes it is possible, but that is a long and painstaking task. The first thing you have to do is read. Hundreds of post happen on dp a day, you just have to read them. DP is full of information. It will get you started an where to go for SEO

Because a lot more goes into SEO than what you'll see in a page's source, it'll probably take more study than that. There are a lot of good beginner's resources online. I'll bet you can probably find some good ones on YouTube to get you started.

Sure but you will still need to know some basics of SEO first. When you are checking your competitions, you will need to study their source code anyway.

Yes it is effective to learn seo but it would help you in onpage optimization. you should learn some ebooks for seo and follow them with competitor analysis.
In search engine optimization learning, you should go for top seo bloggers and subscribe them + go at youtube for listening good seo tips videos that are very effective in search engine optimization.

Well I will recommend you the seo blog and seo forums which is the best way to learn + your own self experience is the best of all. unless you pratically implement those techniques it is merely like filling a stomach by making food.

 

I think reading SEO blogs or sometimes reading new updates on SEroundtable will give more benefits.

 

Why not learn from the industry leader Google and read their starter guide?

I started with the Idiots guide to Google SEO, then graduated to forums such as this and practice all along the way.

 

Just curious why you would call it an idiots guide? I am sure that this is valuable to many and they are not likely to be idiots.

 

I think that ebooks and forums can point you in the right direction of good methods and skills for SEO, but it takes actual trial and error to actually figure out what works and how to do it.

 

I prefer to get my advice from Google and cut out the advisor's in the middle.
