Recently, I have constructed a website and produced nine videos, which I want to put on the website. I am then going to send a lot of traffic to the website and hopefully get a lot of video views. The file type of the videos is WMV. They are of 720p HD quality, and their total file size is just under 1.5 GB. I want the videos to be compatible with as many visitors as possible, and I don't want them to stop to buffer every few seconds. I also don't want to pay heaps of cash for video hosting. Keeping the above in mind, what are my options? What exactly must I do? From what I understand, my best option is to host the videos on Amazon S3 and embed them on my website after installing a player of some sort on my server. Is that correct? Shall I convert the videos into Flash files? Wouldn't it be very expensive to host nine HD videos on Amazon S3? Can't I just throw the videos on YouTube and embed them on my Web pages? Why would doing so be a bad idea? Any help in this matter will be much appreciated.
