I think that it doesn't matter too much what's the best way to get traffic for someone else. You are different, you have different skills, different experience. What may be good for me, may not be good for you. 1+1=2 for almost everyone. The best way to get traffic is not the same way for everyone. Why? Because we are different. For example, someone may say that article marketing is the best way for him. But if you don't know how to write an article and your English is not very good (it's traffic, not traffick ), then article marketing won't be the best way for you. You need to analyze what you know to do better and do that (and of course always try to improve what you do).
you can get the traffic from the facebook. You can use the facebook fan pages for the promotion of you brand. you can integrate your blog in facebook fan page when you update blog it shows in your fan pages
People coming from the search engines are more likely to get whatever you're offering. So learn SEO and PPC (and landing page optimization).
I use many ways that i learned from good people on DP, like article marketing, commenting on related niche blogs, forums, link exchange and etc. while all of these things are helping me, from my personal experience two things worked way better than others for me, 1. traffic from search engine when they say you write quality content and they will come, they really mean it. i don't consider my self a good writer at all specially in english(english is my second language and i have learned it not by writing and reading but by listening and talking to others in the past 6 years that i have been living in us). but i make sure to write unique and quality content, and use right spelling, even if that means searching for 20 min to make sure the check spelling software is giving me the word i really mean to use here, not something that looks like it almost. 2. e-how this little how-to site has worked wonders for me. i simply write how-tos about stuff related to my niche and post it there. 20% of my traffic comes from there, even though i only have handful of how-tos there. and the cool thing is you earn money from your how-tos on their site. that's what i call hitting two bird with one stone. but don't forget that not everything works the same way for everyone. so i would suggest you take all the good info that DP members provide you with and put them to the test. after a while you will see which one is working better for you. but i can tell you one thing, believe me there is no easy way to do this. it takes hard work and persistency. i hope it helps. good luck
1st you need to know what niche your blog it is.... for me i use to comment other people that have top commentator plugin... some times i advertise at other blog and ask for link exchange.... how ever my main visitor comes from search engine (google)
For some PPC is the best or fastest way but in the end, I think that SEO Serp ranking is best in marketing there are so many ways to get traffic but my favorite is directly from blogs and social sites. With social sites and blogs with high traffic it markets products very fast because of how many people are online everyday.
Even though this isn't my thread I just want to say thanks for the tips. I'm consistently hearing social sites brought up so I'm definitely going to look into starting a group to promote my site. I'm very interested to see what kind of results I get (haven't had much success with backlinking).
