This is sort of backwards. I would like to have articles submitted to my site than my articles submitted to others. What do I need to do?
I agree with this. You might want to create a Press Release in regards to this and submit them to Press Release directories. Try Prleap.
What if I want it to be more of a community of sharing articles than just a plain submission site. I guess my question is how to get people to be interested in participating.
The best way to get people interested in submitting to your site is to tell them WHY they SHOULD be interested in your site. How are you different from others? What will submitters get - byline, $$, free press, backlinks, etc? How will submitters find you? Are you regulating the types of articles you post or is it anything goes? Credibility, does it matter or not? A Press Release campaign would do well. If you're interested in PR let me know. I've a few details in a link in my sig or PM me.
I'll shot you a line tonight. I see you are in Tampa. My best friend lives there and I went to school at UF. May be moving back that way soon
You know any other really good forums. This is the best IMHO by far. Nice logos btw. If I could afford you I would get you to do one. Poor teacher here LOL
The main reason people are going to submit articles to your site is because it benefits them some how. When I find a site that I want a link from I'll see if they are interested in a guest article in exchange for a short bio that points back to my site. Also if you are just looking for quantity, you could look into getting feeds from iSnare or AritcleMarketer. There are also a lot of mailing lists that will send you articles for posting.
yeah your right...article submission is a way of building links and also it can bring you traffic that will depend on the quality of articles that your created...
Hello! My opion, I will write to authors who used to submit their articles regularily. Take a look on this site alone, ArticleTrader.com, and you know if you would like to write to those authors about your sites.
thanks for the compliment bjraines and i thought that our rates were quite low. For more forums like this, google "webmaster forum".
you must make your site attractive (hits or page rank) for the other peoples. if you do this people will submit their articles to your site
