What's the best way to do this?

    I want to display text from a database but only 5 characters and the... so exmaple

    This is a short example...

    Which is easy but when the user hover over it I want the title to scroll and show the whole title and then stop when they stop hovering over it. I can't think of a way to do it. I should probably study up on my javascript.

    Nevermind I opted to just do it in flash rather then javascript
