now i heard you can print off the content take it to the bank and get it signed for the time and date or send the files by recorded delivery to your door but dont open the package. But is there a better way becuase we all know . . . . well . . .. all us writters know (c) dont stand for jack and people will rewite your content and pass it on. Im not a fan of paying a site £30 either to upload my files for them to record the date incase you suggest that. I live in the UK, incase that effects anything.

if you are concerned about it, then just do the recorded delivery to your house and save it. This method has been used in court previously and been successful. However if you are just talking about small website text, then to be honest it is not worth bothering about. Think... what is the real value of web text? if you end up having to take someone to court, how much will it cost you? How much compensation would you think you would get? how much hassel would it all be??

Now if you are talking about a document maybe containing an idea you are pitching to someone and want to project yourself, that if they take the idea and do it themselves you have a record. Then Yes do it.
