    A backlink is just a number unless it generates traffic directly. You won't get traffic from social sites unless the link and comment are very relevant to the site and unless your site is very generic, you will only get traffic from a few of those sites.

    as has been said, mix and match but just be very careful where you link to as outbound links to bad neighbourhoods can hurt you more than links to you from dodgy sites.
