Whats the best way to backup databases nightly?

    I have a few sites running on a shared server, that are very important to me. I need to back up the databases. Is a cron job the best way, does it strain down the server a lot, and is there a good guide on doing it somewhere?>

    In your hosting CP there will be an option for "Backup" from where you can download daily backup for your sites.

    mysqldump and cronjob are the best way to do it.
