Hi, just signed up for these sites as I here they can be useful traffic drivers - how can i get the best out of them?
for stumble, you can submit each page of your site. and each time you do so you can add different keywords and descriptions. for digg, pretty much the same deal. I dont use digg as much though, so you may have to just try that one out.
Each social bookmarking website has a culture. You have to see which these people like and dislike. As for digg, people there like certain trends. Politics for instance a well with unique pictures, images and videos. They also like news about apple and mac. As for StumbleUpon, you can only be successful if you have friends. Send each useful post to your friends via a message and ask them to stumble the page for you. They will respond and in times they will need help, you can stumble theirs. Both sites need constant updates. And people there are really not that dumb if you constantly stumble or digg your own site. Reach out and digg/stumble other sites/stories. Build a network, observe what people want and write about them. Other people will say that you should not submit your own site. Well my rule is, never submit your post unless it is worth stumbling/digging. Unless you believe your post will break mountains, don't submit it. Because you're friends will not support you if your post is crap. Also, for the record. Stumble many pages from the same domain and StumbleUpon will ban you.
