Is the best way to build links to your site through directory submissions?

 

Yes and no. You'll get lots of links but many of them will be of little value. What sort of site did you want links for?

 

Directory submissions are fine, but you should also do linkbaits, submit to social bookmarking sites, press release sites, buy related links on authority sites, sponsor reviews, etc.

Just be creative and you will find a million ways to build backlinks

I prefer u to mix the link building.SO its more effective than single.You may try Article Submission,Blog Commenting,Forum Posting,Directory Submission,Social Bookmarking etc

I think the best way to get backlinks is through natural link baiting. Just have really good content and people will naturally link to you. This is also good because it is free.

Directory submissions are good aswell, paid submissions are normally worth a lot more than links on free directories.

Buying links from other sites is also a good way to get good quality links. Like from the link sales forum.

 

I would add one more thing,
blog commenting is also good... there are lots of Hgh PR dofollow blogs... comment there and you will get one way high PR back links.

Blogs and mass article submission. I am just now getting involved with Isnare and article marketer...I have heard good things.

I am desperately trying to increase MY pR< its not as each as you'd think.

 

The trick with directory submission is to actually do it. There are thousands of free directory sites. Either pay to get it done or just do 50 a day every day until your list is done.

Link exchanges is an easy way to build links. It's always better to link with a site that's relevant to yours, also.

 

Just directory submissions probably not the best way to go. Along with that if you do properly keyworded article marketing, that will bring better results in the long run.

 

I'm just starting the link building process, and what I found something very discouraging , most of the free directories don't assure your submission and warn you about how long it will take to add your site , if you don't pay

 

The simplest way I have found is through writing quality articles and submitting them mainly to ezinearticles.com, and then being active in forums related to your niche.

Try not to get caught up in to many get-link-quick-games they will just burn you out over time.

 

In my opinion submission to niche specific directories is best way and recommended by Google in its quality guidelines. You get theme based relevant link which has good importance.

 

Paid link exchange service can help you generate backlinks quickly.
